Day #13: My Statistics Are...

Hi Me Darlings,

TGIF!!! Cheers to the weekend! I'll drink to that! So this is going to be the first weekend in a while that my butt is gonna be home! Usually on Fridays after work I head over to my friends place in Jersey to spend the weekend and go to work from there on Mon and Tues. We always have fun, chilling and just being with friends. Growing up I never really had friends coming over to my house to chill or spend sleepovers...my house was on the outskirts of town, kinda like in the not so developed part of town so the commute wasn't fun. I used to feel like a trapped princess, stuck in our white house with fence all around. We had dogs that used to scare ppl in the neighborhood so ppl were scared of even coming close lol story for another day.

Glad that you guys liked my 5 attractive men...yummy pieces of creation lol. So today's challenge is to write about "My Body and How Comfortable I am in it"

Petite. Compact. Tiny. Portable. Pocket-size...by now you get the picture. These words are words that have been/are used to describe me. I'm 5ft tall, my statistics are roughly 32-24-34...clothes wise, I wear size 0, 00, 1, 2, XXS, XS, S depending on the brand because some brands cut their sizes bigger than normal. Shoe size I'm a 6 1/2 -7 depending on whether they are pumps, sandals or flats etc. There are days when I love my body and my size and then there are days and times when I'm not a fan...but for the most part I'm pretty much happy with me body :)

Even though I was asleep when God was sharing height, I was def in the front lines when he was sharing boobs, so that kind of makes up. Not just becos boobs are attractive but becos it helps me to fill out clothes nicely...and so tops and dresses have nice fit...and I dnt look like a 15yr old. The ass region is not bad for my size but i prefer to call it a "sitting device" as opposed to a "booty" lol. Somedays my tummy dsnt cooperate and I wonder if I might be expecting, but most times it stays decent and dsnt protrude lol.

I'm not my body's biggest fan when I shop at times. This is because American sizes are not true to size. Because howelse can a dress say size 2 or Small and still look like I'm wearing Madea's dress? How? So whenever I see something that fits I jst buy it...because who knws when it'll come in handy. Also I dnt have a lot of store options: F21, H&M, Charlotte Russe, Strawberry, Zara and then chinko stores that are hit and miss...that's about it.

I also sometimes feel awkward when I'm in the midst of people who are way taller and bigger. I feel so tiny, but then once I get comfortable that feeling fades away.

Perks about my size are that people are willing to help for the most part...for example when I'm travelling and I get on the plane I jst stand in the middle of the aisle and look cute and helpless and some dude quickly helps me put my hand luggage in the over head compartment...well its either they help or the luggage go block road for everybody lol.
I also find it interesting when people underestimate me because of my size and then they , meet me, my personality and who I really am and they are like wow :) it makes me smile.

Then there's the vain part of me that loves the attention I get when I'm all dressed up and I walk into a place...and everyone notices me. I always tell myself if I was average height I'd blend in with everybody else...but with my size I don't. I have stretch marks on my butt and they don't faze me one bit, I love 'em lol I have one or two cellulite dimples and thats it, those dnt bother me either. I do wanna gain a bit more weight, I always say its good to give a guy something to hold lol x_x but no guy has complained yet. The guy that will make a negative comment will def not be getting beyond the friendship zone! #ThatIsAll

Anyways, like every other female there are days when I'm not crazy about my bod, but for the most part I love my body! I don't workout, but I dance for about 2-3hours :) I need tot ke cre of what I put in my body tho :( I eat junk food...I jst hope it dsnt catch up with me later on. My Mom is still hot and she's almost 60! Mama got a bootyyyy and a nice figure lol...so I pray I look like her when I'm older too.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Hugs & Kisses,

Men + Relationships

Hello there darlings...

How's everyone doing? Hope your week got off to a great start! And y'all are kicking ass at whatever you're doing. Shout out to Sting...like I said, just surround urself with God and positive energy, you'll be fine.

So the other day funmsdrebirth's post was asking if taking "breaks" in relationships are usually successful or do they lead to the death of the relationship. IMO I think it leads more to the death of the relationship (but there have been exceptions!)... But again, I was thinking what do you then do when a relationship seems to have hit that stage where the excitement level is running on low. And I'm not talking 3weeks into a rship...let's say 2,3,4,5, yrs into it. Do you take a break to try and "figure it out" or you stay together and try to find the spark again?

Is it possible to just wake up one morning after a couple of years and not be as crazy in love with your significant other as u were before? I mean you still care deeply about them but just not crazy in love. Where does the love go? Does the crazy in love feeling return? Where are my married, quarter to marry, in a serious relationship bloggers pls come and answer.

In other news, pls what kind of men is the world breeding nowadays? And what kind of crap/BS are girls condoning nowadays in the name of having a man. Since I'm not in the dating scene, I'm always excited to hear gist from my single friends...it's interesting to hear what's going on; what the new pick-up lines are, and the general lay of the land. But this summer ehn! the kind of nonsense behavior that awon guys were exhibiting was jst shocking. What happened to the days of basic courtesy and respect? As my friend will say if u can't handle basic human interaction how can you handle a relationship? Little things like calling when u can't make a date. Manning up and apologizing when you screw up, not trying to brush it off and ignore the issue. Trying to get a babe to lower her expectations and standards to suit their irresponsible behavior so that they do not have to be held accountable. Tsk tsk tsk...smdh! All these awon Wall Street, New York boys that feel like they are the ish, kmt!!!

In other news, my last semester in undergrad begins tomorrow. Thank you Lord!
So ermm...yeah its 4.30am and I haven't slept so this post  is coming to an abrupt incoherent end...lol...bear with me biko. I know y'all understand.

Talk to you guys soon,
xoxo,
Miss Enigma!

...10 Things iLove...

Hi Blogsville...

How's ur week coming along? Hope things are going well, and blessings and favors are finding each and every one of you. Thanks to the ppl who commented on my last post. I appreciate ur suggestions, and wld look into them. Cerebally Busy are u suggesting I write one because u think I have small potential or just to mock me?!! Lol...the thought of writing a book seems a bit scary to me. Funny thing is I wrote one when I was in primary school, and my Mom made negotiations with a publisher to make sample copies and all that, but life got in the way and that never came to fruition. Well who knows, maybe I'll write again someday...I hope I do.

Before I start rambling off, let me get to the main reason for this post. My friend Ms.O tagged me to do "10 Things iLove..." a while back, so these are a few of the things iLove...enjoy :D (PS: This list is in no particular order)

- SURPRISES: iLove surprises! Birthdays, Holidays, Everyday...there doesn't have to be an occasion or special event. iLove surprises just cause. A visit from a friend, unexpected pressies or thoughtful little things or gestures just warm my heart and light up my face :-). Sha not a surprise that will get me mad o if not wahala dey.

- TRAVEL: iLove to travel! *sigh* Just thinking of all the places I want to visit is getting me all excited. In high-school, I went on as many excursion trips as my folks pocket could take care of. I went to Togo for French excursion, then for Geography our trip took us to Jos, Bauchi, Abuja, and for Hausa acculturation we went to ...... I enjoy flying (as long as I'm not sitting next to a psycho, or a talkative, or a stinky dude, or an extra nice old lady), and I enjoy road-trips too as long as I have good company. I want to visit France, Australia, Rome, China beautiful islands like the Virgin Islands, Seychelles, etc. I really would like to visit a couple of these places before I get married, and then take regular vacations with the hubby whenever I get married. So note to #myfuturehusband, I love to travel, and u will be coming along for the ride so prepare thyself :D.

- JEWELRY: Like almost every girl, iLove jewelry pieces, but specifically silver, white-gold and platinum *wink*. But platinum is outta my price range for now so I'm a .925 (silver) kinda girl. I dnt own one piece of gold jewelry;back in Naij if I need to dress in native and needed a gold piece, I borrowed my Mom's. But I'm slowly warming up to gold...keyword slowly. Few years ago when I worked in the jewelry section of a store, a good chunk of my paycheck went to silver pieces. They are just beautiful. My engagement ring n' wedding band are definitely going to be platinum.:D

- MUSIC/DANCE: If u know me...n' know me well, you'll know that I love to dance! I doubt that I can survive an hour in the gym, but I'll survive on the dance floor, in my apartment...wherever there is good music...I'll survive. I'm a huge fan of Naija music...there's just something about the songs that make me wanna move n' groove. I think my boyfie worries sometimes...lol...too much energy...he just sits and smiles n' lets me do me.

- NAIJA FOOD: If I were in Naija I know I would have put on weight for sure. Chei...as I'm typing my mouth is watering n' wanting. Banga and Starch. Poundie n' Ogbono wiv assorted. Ofada rice n' peppered stew. Market rice (rice wrapped in leaf n' sold in the market or hawked around). Amala and Egusi or Ewedu. Kpomo joint. Turkey joint. Suya. Shawarma. Ppl need I continue? I dnt think so...u get the picture. iLove Naija food.

- ROMANCE/LOVE: Yes...yes...I am a sucker for all things love. And yes I know sometimes love comes around and it knocks us down, but I believe in getting up, dusting yourself off and getting back in the game (at your own pace o). Because when it's right, everything feels good. iLove romantic gestures, and i'm a PDA kinda girl...walking holding hands, stealing glances from across the room, butt- squeezing, yelz :D iLove it all. Muahz!!!

SHOPPING: this for me is a love/hate rship. I enjoy shopping when I'm not hungry, and when I can find things in my size and price range. When I can't find my size, it is very frustrating! If I have an occasion, I have to shop ahead of time just in-case I need to have the outfit fitted...I cnt just walk-in pick a dress and go. But that notwithstanding I love bringing home my shopping loot and trying stuff on and all that.

DULCE DE LECHE: My favorite ice-cream flavor at the moment. Pure bliss!!! I tell you...try it and you'll be convinced. Caramel goodness.

-   BMWs: I love Beamers! I can't explain what it is, but I just love 'em. And by God's grace I will own one! I know I will.  I want leather seats with the wooden, polished dashboard....yeah baby!

-   HIS LIST:So I ran out of things iLove and I asked My Luv to help me out and he mentioned: Tennis, Conference call with my two girlies, dance "you dance like there is no tomorrow", lol his words!!! He also mentioned, flowers (red roses) and Twitter...lol... He sure does know me well...thanx babie.

So my dear B'ville, there you have it...a few of the Things iLove. Hope you enjoyed knowing a lil' bit about moi. Continue to have a fabulous week my luvlies.

And if you haven't done this meme, pls consider yourself tagged!!! Yes u! lol

Talk to you guys soon,

Have you seen my passion?

Hi Guys,

How's everyone doing? Its the weekend again! Its funny how some of us get so excited its the weekend, like we have huge plans when in reality...we don't...lol. It jst feels good to be able to sleep in late, have breakfast in bed (tho u have to get up to put it together), listen to Vera's show, and generally just do you. So yeah, I am glad its the weekend.

In addition to it being weekend, I am on Spring Break so yay me! I sometimes wonder where my adventurous and fun side went to. My whole college life I have never done anything fun and exciting with my breaks; spring break, winter break, watever break...*sigh* nothing! People go to Miami, Mexico, Puerto Rico, London, Paris...my behind stays indoors. The annoying part is I do love to go out (for the most part), but I seem to have surrounded myself with boring people. I love my friends, dnt get me wrong, but I think I need to make more out-going (not necessarily wild sha o) and adventurous friends.

I wanna go on a road trip! To anywhere, Miami ain't a bad idea. My friends wanted to do a roadtrip to Canada but that plan never solidified cos of scheduling issues. London nko...no money. *sigh* Even exploring some really cool spots in NYC won't be a bad idea...I need me some oyinbo, and ching- chong friends ASAP. They are open to trying out things and dnt have drama...lol.

In other news, everyone seems to be getting married left, right and centre. I can't even begin to count how many babes from my set have gotten and are getting married...the thing tire me o. Was talking about it with friends the other day and I personally have nothing against it. When I see pics up on FB or the like I usually say Congrats and wish them well, bcos to me I feel that's all we can do as friends, wish them well. Its ok if some of us think its too early and we haven't gotten both feet strong enough on the ground to uphold a family and the responsibilities both financial and emotional, but if a friend (someone u knw) has decided they are ready to tke the plunge, then so be it. My friend disagrees...lol...she said she can't bring herself to drop congratulatory comments. The part that cracks me up, is when ppl leave comments but dnt knw how to hide the skepticism/surprise....I mean just say congrats and put full stop, not "Babe u r getting married? ehen na wa oo. Congrats" or "Congratulations oooo" or " Are you for real? I wish you well sha"....as in which one is the ooooooo and sha inside?lol.

It seems like everyone is finding their passion or calling, and I can't help but wonder, where is mine? People have photography, make-up artist, writer, cooking/baking and other interesting things...I have nothing, or at least that's how I feel :(. I know someone will say when you where younger what did you want to be? I used to say a Lawyer cos I talked ALOT and my nick-name was 'radio without wire", meaning I cld go on on. But I always wanted to be an actress (still do), but everytime I said it ppl looked at me like yeah right u jst dnt wanna work, keep living in fantasyland...so I let that dream go after taking two acting classes in college.

I just want to find something I'm passionate about...I know its a wonderful feeling doing something you love, not necessarily as a full-time job, but just the realization that this is part of what you were put on earth to do and you enjoy it. I want that feeling. *sigh* So my dear blogville famille...share with a sister, have you found your passion or calling? What is it? And how does it feel?

Have a fabulous weekend guys...and if anyone is in NYC and wants to just hang-out holla @ me.

Talk to you guys soon,
xoxo,
Miss Enigma!!!

A Kiss to Remember...

It was just another Sunday morning as she lay in bed barely awake. With her eyes still closed she reached across, felt around for the power button and found it with ease. This had become part of her morning ritual...checking all the check-ables (e-mails, Facebook, Blogger etc) before getting out of bed. Thank goodness for the "Hibernate" option, so she dsn't have to sign in to everything...just hit refresh and voila!

No important e-mails, all junk as usual. Off to FB to see who's got new pics up or man- drama/personal issues up as their status message...Hmmm new friend request? Probably some old high-school friend or the usual "can I get to know you better" people who never fail to murder the English language. Seconds later, she's sitting up wide awake and alert, with the laptop on her lap starring at the picture. "No way!, it can't be!" This has got to be some coincidence of some sort.

It just couldn't be!
How? After all this while, she had never forgotten. She remembered it all like it was last- week. It was over before it even took off, but still yet unlike all the others, this one she remembered, and remembered well. Why? She didn't know why, but somehow she remembered; and as the memories began to flood her thoughts, something inside of her stirred, and awoke a warmth that made her toes curl, and her face light up with a smile...

It had been one of those early, registration days of freshman year, nothing productive had been done, so before heading home, herself and B'lola decided to stop at a friend's (Kem) off-campus hostel and say hi. It was there that they first laid eyes on each other. No, it wasn't a love at first sight moment, neither was it a wow-ing moment, but whatever it was, it was a moment neither one of them forgot. He gave her a nick-name instantly, they exchanged numbers and life went on.

She was a freshman, he was final year, with six years age difference. And with that year difference she knew nothing serious was going to happen, so she made up her mind not to lay an emotional foundation. Not to get attached. Enjoy his company, and keep it moving. But before she knew it, she began to like him...a lot! And his company was not the only thing she was enjoying, and liking a lot; his kisses were just as intriguing and ad
dictive...they were like no other.

There was something about the way he went about it; the pace- never rushed, the intensity- just right, the rhythm- in sync, variety- he had it. She wanted it all, and boy! did she get it. Tender kiss on the lips for starters, then slowly she parted her lips for more, and liked what she got. Soft, but firm...his tongue...gently but confidently navigating every corner of her mouth, like he'd been there before. Damn! it felt so good and tasted even better...think warm, melted chocolate...caressing your tongue and making sweet...sweet love to it, yeah! It was that good.

Oh! how vivid and clear the memories were even after three years. The phone-calls, the giddy-butterfly feeling, his voice, his calm and laid-back demeanor, his laugh -deep, his humor, and the late night rendezvous. How could she forget that? Driving through campus and kissing as he drove...and then the nights at the car-park; driver's seat fully reclined, music playing, her 4'11 frame easily straddling him and... Well, let's just say thank goodness for tinted windows. What had happened? How did they go their seperate ways?

Oh yeah...she had disappeared into thin air, left the country without a word. There was no emotional attachment or foundation, but there were memories that she had carried with her all along. Now here he was three years down the road, sending her a Facebook friend request, and a message. Who would have thunk it? With a smile on her face and butterflies in her tummy, she hit 'Accept'. Now what? She'll have to wait and see... He's probably married, engaged or something, but hey why should she care, she was in a relationship and doing ok. This is just old friends re-uniting via Facebook, right?

Well, only time will tell...

Hello Blogsville,

How's everyone doing? Hope great! It's the start of another week, and the hustle continues. Work, school, projects, meetings, dead-lines, school-run, and so on. The Lord is our strength!

As usual, nothing hot and news-worthy happened @ this end, regular boring weekend. Thanks to everyone who read, and commented on my last post! I had a really great time answering the questions, even though ML believes he has the right answers to some of the questions...lol. Like the one that said describe urself in one word, his answer? COMPACT. Which honestly, is a pretty spot-on description of me.

Thanks again to Kemberly! I won a palette! My blog stalking has finally been rewarded. :). I was actually gonna invest in some MAC eye-shadow, but now I can pocket my money...who talk say free thing no good?Lol.

Hope you guys read the story above. I haven't written anything fiction or non-fiction in a really long-time. I used to love to write, but I dnt know what happened to me. *sigh* Make God no vex say I no use the talent when him give me o. I hope u guys enjoyed it; Is it real or did I make it up? Hmmm...lol...you decide. Looking forward to your ideas, and critiques!

Have a great day, and an AWESOMEY week ahead!!!

Talk to you guys soon,
xoxo,
